From your brain to your joints and everything in between, moving every day has the power to improve every part of your physical & mental health.

And it’s not just about long training sessions, high-impact, sweat-inducing exercise either. Were talking about short bouts of nourishing movement - AKA ‘Movement Snacking’

Heres 4 science backed reason's why
you need to be doing it

1. Your body is designed & built to move - Your body has more than 600 muscles and around 350 joints all designed to move. And its through movement you are able to transport nourishment to every cell in your body. Therefor movement is an essential nutrient, that our body needs on a daily basis to support our movement health from long-term movement independence, maintain joint health and mitigate mobility issue’s.

2. Improve your metabolic health - There is evidence to suggest that taking small movement snacks throughout the day has huge benefits for long term metabolic health. The accumulation of incorporating short movement snacks in to your daily routine helps support regular and improved energy levels through the day, improve insulin resistance, balance hormones, lower inflammation and promotes longevity.

3. Brain health & cognitive function - Movement is one of the most transformative things you can do to improve cognitive abilities & mental health. One of the most significant benefits of movement scientists have found, is that it promotes neurogenesis, or the birth of new brain cells. This is essential to improving cognitive function, helping you think, learn, focus, problem-solve, and enjoy an emotional balance — all of which can help you become smarter and live longer.

4. Mental State & wellbeing - Every time your move your body, a number of beneficial neurotransmitters, including dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin and acetylcholine, gets released into your brain. These substances help decrease feelings of anxiety and depression. The best part is, It only take as little as 5-10 mins of movement snacking to instantly lift your mood, giving you a positive calm mental state.
